Bring your catalogue to Werop in an afternoon
If you already sell on your own website, you do not have to create your items one by one. Werop reads your catalogue, shows you how it will look and creates it for you. Nothing is published until you review it.
Updated on 23 October 2026
Before you start
- Your shop has to be approved on Werop. The import is done by the shop owner.
- Have the fibre composition of your items to hand (the one on the label): it is required to publish clothing, and footwear needs its materials.
- Prices are imported in euros, VAT included, just as your website sells them.
- A Werop item has one colour and its sizes: a product with several colours becomes one item per colour.
If your store is on Shopify
- In your Shopify admin, go to Products → Export.
- Choose All products and the format CSV for Excel, Numbers, or other spreadsheet programs.
- In the Werop panel, go to Products → Import catalogue → Shopify and upload the file.
If your store is on WooCommerce
- In your WordPress, go to Products → Export.
- Keep all columns selected and click Generate CSV.
- In the Werop panel, go to Products → Import catalogue → WooCommerce and upload the file.
From your website, without exporting anything
If your website runs on Shopify or WooCommerce, under Products → Import catalogue → From your website Werop reads the products you have published on the website you gave us when you signed up. It needs no password. Shopify does not say how many units are left: stock stays untracked until you set it.
You can also turn on Keep sold-out sizes up to date with my website: every 15 minutes, a size that sells out on your website sells out on Werop too.
If you use another platform (PrestaShop, Wix, Squarespace, Etsy, a spreadsheet…)
Use the Werop template. You can fill it in by hand or ask an AI assistant to do it:
- Export the products from your platform to a file (CSV or Excel).
- Open your assistant (ChatGPT, Claude, Gemini…), attach the file and paste the instructions below (in the panel they are behind the Copy instructions for your AI button).
- Save the CSV it returns and read the list of doubts: it tells you what it had to decide.
- Upload it under Products → Import catalogue → Another platform.
Each column is described in the import format. Photos must be at public addresses (that open without signing in).
Review and confirm
Before creating anything, Werop shows you how many items will come in, the garment type and section it has assigned to each of your categories (you can change them) and the warnings for each row: missing composition, a size we do not recognise, a price in another currency, a photo that cannot be downloaded. Once you confirm, the import carries on by itself even if you close the panel, and we let you know when it finishes.
After importing
- The items are in Products, unpublished.
- Complete whatever is missing, especially the composition.
- The main and back photos are prepared on a white background, like the rest of the catalogue; for a large catalogue this can take a few hours.
- Select the items that are ready and click Publish. Your Stripe payouts account needs to be active.
If something goes wrong
- «We do not recognise the file format»: upload the CSV just as your platform exports it, without opening and saving it first in another program, or use the Werop template.
- «Composition missing»: complete it in the item before publishing it.
- «The photo could not be downloaded»: the address is not public or no longer exists. Upload the photo manually in the item.
- «Your website cannot be read»: your website has to be live and on https. If you use a security plugin or Cloudflare, it may be blocking the read: import with the CSV file instead.
Frequently asked questions
Is anything published without me seeing it?
No. All imported items come in unpublished: you review them and publish them from Products.
Can I import again?
Yes. Items that already existed are updated by their reference (price and sizes with their stock) and new ones are created. Nothing is duplicated.
Are crossed-out prices or sales imported?
No. The law requires the crossed-out price to be the lowest of the previous 30 days, and Werop cannot check the price history of your website. Create your sales in Werop, under Coupons & sales.
What about stock?
Yes, per size, if your file includes it. If not, the item is left without stock tracking and you can set it later.
What happens if I sell the last unit on my website?
If you turn on «Keep sold-out sizes up to date with my website», Werop marks it sold out within minutes. In addition, before charging each order we ask you to confirm that you have the items.
Can my AI assistant make mistakes when converting the file?
Yes. That is why the instructions ask it for a list of doubts, and why Werop shows you a preview before creating anything. The fibre composition is a legal requirement: if you do not have it, leave it empty and fill it in yourself.
Does Werop store any password for my store?
No. Importing a file or reading your published website needs no credentials.
