From Shopify to Werop without re-entering product data
Werop understands Shopify's product format: you export, upload, and review. Or you provide your store's address and it reads it directly, with up-to-date out-of-stock items.
Updated on November 6, 2026
In summary
- Export your Shopify catalog and upload it to the Werop panel: sizes, colors, photos, prices, and codes are imported all at once.
- Preview before creating anything: you see how each garment looks and correct anything necessary.
- Nothing is published automatically: items enter as drafts and you publish them when you want.
- Free registration, 12 % + VAT per sale, no fee or charge for publishing.
Two ways: CSV or your published website
The CSV. In Shopify, Products → Export → "All products" as CSV. This is Shopify's product format, with its variants (size, color), prices, SKUs, and photos. You upload it in the Werop panel, under Catalog → Import, and the preview appears.
Your published website. If your Shopify store is public, its address is enough: Werop reads the catalog that Shopify publishes (the same one buyers see) and then re-reads it every 15 minutes to set out-of-stock sizes to zero and restock those that return. There's no need to install any application or grant access to your Shopify account.
Shopify variants are converted into Werop sizes and colors: a model in several colors is a single garment with a color selector and its stock by size and color. The SKU or barcode of each variant is saved and, if it's a valid EAN, it goes to the product page and Google Shopping.
Step by step
- Export in Shopify (Products → Export, CSV) or copy your store's address.
- Upload the file or paste the address in the Werop panel, under Catalog → Import.
- Review the preview: sizes, colors, category, composition, and photos of each garment. What the import cannot deduce is marked.
- Confirm: items are created as drafts and photos are downloaded and processed in the background.
- Publish the ones you want, when you want.
What happens next
Synchronized stock
If your website is public, Werop reads it every 15 minutes and sets to zero in Werop the sizes that are out of stock on it (and restocks them when they return). This way you don't sell the same unit twice.
AI photos and product data
Photos from your website are downloaded and, if they are not studio photos, the AI places them on a white background and identifies the color of each one. The product data is completed with what it sees.
Re-import without duplicating
Each garment remembers where it came from: if you re-import, the existing one is updated. The EAN of each size is preserved.
We tell you what's missing
Composition, section, category, or color that the import could not deduce are marked in the preview: you complete them before publishing.
Frequently asked questions
Is it necessary to install a Shopify app?
No. Werop reads the exported CSV or your published website; it does not need access to your Shopify account. A Shopify application with two-way connection is planned for when several stores request it.
Is stock synchronized between Shopify and Werop?
Out-of-stock items, yes: every 15 minutes Werop reads your public website and sets to zero in Werop the sizes that are no longer in Shopify, and restocks them when they return. Exact units per size are not read from your website: you manage them in Werop or update them by re-importing.
And sales on Werop, are they deducted from Shopify?
Not yet: Werop does not write to your Shopify. Each sale on Werop deducts stock from Werop; you adjust it in Shopify. This is the main limitation today, and what the Shopify app would solve.
What happens with the photos?
They are downloaded from your website. If they are studio photos, they remain as they are; if they have a background or model, the AI creates the white background version required by the catalog and identifies the color of each photo. You decide which one is the main photo.
Can I import only part of the catalog?
Yes: export only a collection from Shopify, or import everything and publish only what you want. What is not published is not seen by anyone.
