Costs and payouts

How much does it cost to sell on Werop?

Signing up and listing your catalogue are free and there are no monthly fees or listing fees. Werop charges a commission of 12% plus VAT on the price of each garment sold; shipping pays no commission, although you contribute a small share of its cost (€0.26 on a domestic shipment, plus VAT). You can deduct the VAT if you are under the standard VAT scheme. If your shop is in another EU country and your EU VAT number is verified, the commission carries no VAT (reverse charge). You can see how it compares with other marketplaces.

Who pays the VAT on my sales?

You do. The prices you set on Werop are retail prices, VAT included, and the same price applies in every country. Werop transfers you the price minus its commission and does not withhold the VAT: you declare and pay it yourself. On sales within your country you apply your country's VAT. On sales to other EU countries you also apply your country's VAT as long as your distance sales to consumers in other countries do not exceed €10,000 a year (adding up all your channels); above that, or if you register for the One-Stop Shop (OSS), you apply the buyer's country's VAT. In your dashboard, My shop → Payments has the table of rates for Werop's ten countries and each garment shows you what you keep depending on where it goes.

How do I get paid for my sales?

Through Stripe. You connect your account from «My shop → Payments» and the amount of each sale, with the commission already deducted, is transferred directly to your bank account. Werop never holds on to your money.

When does the money arrive?

Stripe transfers the funds to your bank according to its payout schedule, usually a few days after each sale. You can check the details and the schedule from your own Stripe dashboard.

Do I need to be self-employed or a company?

Yes: Werop is for professional sellers. In Spain, that means being registered as self-employed (autónomo) or as a company; in the other countries, having your business registered in the form that applies there. Stripe will ask you for those details when you create the account. Each seller is responsible for invoicing their sales and for their tax obligations (VAT and income).

What happens to the commission if an order is returned?

The refund to the shopper is deducted from the amount transferred to you, including the proportional part of the commission. You don't pay commission on sales that ultimately don't happen.

Can I sell on Werop at a different price from my website or my shop?

No. The price of each garment on Werop has to be the same as on your website and in your physical shop, and any sales you run there also apply on Werop while they last. That way, people who buy on Werop know they are not paying more than if they bought from you directly. If we see a difference we let you know and you have 7 days to correct it; if it isn't corrected or happens again, we may close the shop. All the details are in the terms (section 6.10).

What you can sell

What can I sell on Werop?

New clothing, footwear and accessories from your own brand or shop. Werop is a marketplace for independent fashion: second-hand clothing, resale of other brands and counterfeit products are not accepted.

Can I sell if I'm a designer and don't have a physical shop?

Yes. When you sign up you say whether you are a shop or a designer; it is a catalogue filter so people looking for designer pieces can find you. You don't need premises or your own website.

How do I get into my dashboard if I already sell on Werop?

Go to seller.werop.com with the Google account you used to sign up the shop (or the one you were invited to the team with). If you sign in with another account, the dashboard tells you that account has no shop and lets you switch. To apply for a new shop, the way in is seller.werop.com/solicitar.

Why does my application have to be approved?

We review every sign-up by hand so the marketplace can be trusted and stays focused on independent fashion. We usually approve on the same working day and let you know by email. In the meantime you can complete your profile.

Can I sell from outside Spain?

Yes, if your brand or shop is in one of the eight countries where Werop accepts shops: Spain, France, Germany, Italy, the Netherlands, Belgium, Austria or Portugal. When you sign up you enter your country and the tax identifier that applies there (for example, the NIF in Spain, the SIREN or SIRET in France, the Partita IVA in Italy or the company number in Belgium); the EU VAT number is optional. Payouts arrive through a Stripe account in your own country. Your garments will be seen by shoppers in those eight countries, and also in Luxembourg and Ireland. If you are outside that list, leave your email on the waiting list you will see when you visit the website and we will let you know if we open there.

Catalogue and photos

Do I need professional photos?

No. Upload photos taken with your phone and the system turns them into catalogue images with a white background, the garment centred and a consistent format. The original is kept. For best results: natural light, the whole garment in the frame and no other garments around it.

What do I have to put in my garments' composition?

The fibre composition with each fibre's official name and percentage, from highest to lowest («97% cotton, 3% elastane»); for footwear, the materials of the upper, the lining and the sole. It is required by law and the dashboard won't let you publish clothing or footwear without it. Examples, common mistakes and the fibre names in each language are in the textile labelling guide.

What does the artificial intelligence do with my garments?

Two things. When you upload a photo, it recognises the garment and fills in type, colour and gender if they are empty, as well as material, pattern and style, which improve how it is found in searches. And it makes the photo consistent for the catalogue. You can review and correct everything on the garment's page. Your original photos remain yours; the images Werop generates with AI (the standardised photo, the home page compositions) are the exclusive property of Werop (werop.com), which decides how they are used, and you may not use them outside Werop without its written permission (terms, «Images generated with artificial intelligence»).

How do sizes and stock work?

For each garment you tick the sizes available (the dashboard suggests the scale for the type: XS to XXL, 36 to 46 for footwear, «One size» for accessories). If you enter units per size, they go down with each sale and the size shows as sold out when it reaches zero. If you leave it empty, it sells without tracking units.

Can I put a garment on sale?

Yes. On the garment's page you fill in «Previous price» and the catalogue shows the struck-through price with the discount percentage. You can also create discount coupons for your shop, by percentage or amount, with an expiry date and maximum uses.

Can I unpublish or delete garments?

Whenever you like. Unpublishing hides it from the catalogue without deleting it; deleting also removes it from your public shop. Orders already placed are not affected.

Orders, shipping and returns

How do I find out about an order?

It appears instantly in your dashboard and you get an email. You are only notified once the payment is confirmed.

Who ships the order?

You do, with Werop's shipping account: you generate the label from the dashboard with the parcel weight and drop it off at a nearby drop-off point; the shopper follows the shipment from their account. The shopper pays a rate by zone (€4.95 within your country; from €5.95 to €14.95 to another country) and you contribute the rest up to the real cost of the parcel: €0.26 on a domestic shipment. Werop makes nothing on shipping. If you offer free shipping above a certain amount (you can set one for your country and another for the rest), you pay what the shopper saves plus your contribution. All rates and your contribution by zone.

And returns?

Each shop handles them, just like on its own website. The shopper has the 14-day right of withdrawal set by law and Werop gives them the return label to your workshop at the cost of transport. If they simply change their mind, they pay for the label (€5.26 on a domestic shipment, deducted from their refund) and you cover the cost of the outbound shipment (€4.35), because the law requires it to be refunded to them. If the garment arrives faulty or isn't the one they ordered, you pay for the return label at cost (€4.35) and the refund is in full. Everything is deducted from your payout, and the refund is made through Stripe to the same payment method. More details in the seller terms (section 6.9).

Can I cancel an order?

Yes, for example if you have run out of stock. When you cancel it from the dashboard, the shopper is refunded automatically and the stock for that size is restored.

What happens if a shopper buys from several shops?

They pay once and a separate order is created for each shop. You only see and manage yours.

Chulair and the launch

What is Chulair's virtual fitting room?

Chulair is the AI fashion app from the same team as Werop: people try on clothes virtually on their own photo. Garments published on Werop appear in Chulair and its users can try them on and buy them. You don't have to do anything.

When does Werop open to the public?

We will open to the public in October 2026; there is no exact date yet. Signing up and publishing your catalogue already work, and we are onboarding the first shops. Those who join now will be there from day one.

Can I leave Werop whenever I want?

Yes. There is no minimum commitment. You can unpublish your catalogue at any time or ask us to delete your shop by writing to hola@werop.com.
